Last year I rode my bike from Land’s End to John o’Groats. That’s 905 miles. That’s a long way.
I’m immensely proud of it, but don’t think that the achievement has fully registered yet. That may sound schmaltzy and crappy but if you think that, well, get on your bike, ride 905 miles and then tell me how you feel. Until then revel in my glory.
It was totally awesome dudes. 10 days of sunshine. All long distance cycling is like that – unbroken sunshine. Try it. We raised over £8,000 for charity and I’m forever indebted to Peter Whiteside for being foolish enough to come along with me. Not to mention Mrs C who drove the van (getting a speeding ticket along the way), fed us, kept us sane and tucked us, well me, in at night.
